"Saraswati is an artist from Auroville. Apart from working in her own studio called Have Fun Pottery, she also teaches at the White Peacock Center for Clay Education. Actively participating in art exhibitions from the age of 19. Since 2004 Saraswati lives and works in Auroville, India. 10 years ago started teaching ceramic to Auroville children in the public studio called ‘/white Peacock’, founded and maintained together with her mother Anna Morozova. Started as a ceramic miniature artist, Saraswati left the miniature field some years ago. From miniature, she inherited the focus on details and the capacity to organize a unique whimsical world in each piece. EDUCATION MA in Russian Language and Literature Chelyabinsk, Russia State Pedagogical University, 1990-1995 May 1995 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Volunteer at Auroville International Township Tamil Nadu, TN April 2004 – Present • Creating sculptural small and medium scale objects out of stoneware and porcelain, mostly electric fired at ‘HaveFunPottery’, Auroville • Teaching ceramic to children within the school curriculum as well as the after school activity at ‘White Peacock’ clay studio • Administration and general maintenance of the ‘White Peacock’ clay studio • Facilitation of the ceramic workshops/classes for visitors (children and adults) at ‘White Peacock’ clay studio • Exhibiting student’s works at the wide range of events within Auroville Designer at Metal Engraving Factory Zlatoust, Russia 2001-2004 • Product design and surface decoration design for the gold plated decorated with the gemstones utensils, interior design objects and souvenirs Freelance ceramic artist Zlatoust, Russia 1995-2001 • Creating decorative miniature objects out of electric fired stoneware • Participating in various professional art shows and craft fairs TV/ Radio journalist Zlatoust, Russia 1996 -2004 • In 8 years moved from news reporter to a news editor and the weekly program host • Curating art and culture news column "
