Helene Gagnon

Helene Gagnon, born in Montreal, studied Sciences in college and Anthropology at University of Montreal for a short time. Then she turned towards the visual arts and obtained a Bachelor’s degree (printmaking) at the University of Quebec in Montreal in 1977. For many years, she has explored and perfected her visual expression in drawing, painting and stained glass. At the same time, she has studied and practiced singing, modern dance and theatre. In 1986, she began researching into the inner world which led her to take the path in search of the Self. Her visual work sustains and nourishes her inner research. She has been drawing and painting for more than thirty years. In 2004 she came to Sri Aurobindo Ashram to continue her inner work through Mother and Sri Aurobindo. She is living in Auroville since six years.
