Ben is a master craftsman, working and crafting wood for over fifty years. He first discovered his love for working with wood at the tender age of twelve, when he dismantled his mother's old washing machine and made a lathe! From this he practised shaping and cutting wood for many hours. He was so captivated with his art that he continued to learn more and more, experimenting and discovering new and wonderful ways to create beautiful furniture and artifacts using wood and colored glass. Ben's detail is exquisite, his designs are unique, eye catching and yet very practical! Ben's exceptional talent for selecting vibrant colors and skillfully crafting leaded glass works and mosaics, practicing the legendary copper foil technique pioneered by Louis Comfort Tiffany. He now masters this renowned 'Tiffany technique'. All that combined with his innovative use of his self made tumbling machine to achieve a stunning sand effect, results in truly breathtaking artworks that showcase his mastery and creativity.
