We invite you to have the pleasure of visiting the Art for Land 2020 Exhibition and taking part in its fundraising events at the Unity Pavilion. You can also view our online galleries in the Artworks sections of this site. The information below will guide you for making a contribution through buying an artwork (in Auroville or online), and also for making a tax-exempt donation towards the Land.

How to make your Contribution towards “Art for Land”

You receive an Artwork of choice and your contribution goes towards the Lands for Auroville

A. Contributing to the Lands for Auroville through buying an art work at Unity Pavilion or attending a Fundraising event at Unity Pavilion

Choose an artwork and make your contribution (see below) - A suggested contribution is indicated for each artwork. Ways to make your contribution -- For guests of Auroville and visitors to Auroville:

  1. By Cash at Unity Pavilion

B. Supporting the Land for Auroville by contributing towards an Artwork through the Art for Land website

Choose an Artwork & make a reservation

  • Browse our online galleries and click on the image of the art work that interests you. Then submit your reservation via the online form that appears. Once you have submitted an enquiry or offer through the website, you will receive a reply from us within a day or two.
  • The art work for which you have expressed interest will be reserved for you for a period of 10 days from the date of receipt of your offer form. A suggested minimum contribution is indicated for each artwork.  (If you propose a lower contribution amount, the team will consider your offer and get back to you. You may also propose a higher contribution, because, as a contribution for Auroville’s missing land, no amount is too big!!)

How to make your Donation towards the “Lands for Auroville”

A. Indian Donations
  1. Indian donors (above Rs. 1000/-) are eligible for a 100% tax receipt by sending a message requesting it along with your PAN No:

Note: Indian donors visiting Unity Pavilion who wish to make a donation to Art for Land can do so by in cash or by debit card transfer at Auroville’s Financial Services (Town Hall, ground floor), where the receipt for tax exemption will be issued.

B. Foreign Donations
  1. Donations can be done via Auroville International Centres that can issue tax exemption receipts. Please send your donation to the AVI centre of the country where you are a taxpayer. In all cases, please specify “Donation for Acres for Auroville - Jan & Feb 2020” & request your tax receipt.
